The National NASA EPSCoR Program will be releasing the 2025 Basic Research Opportunity (formerly Research Collaboration) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) in October 2024. NV NASA EPSCoR will be permitted to submit a single full proposal, which will likely be due in mid-January 2025. To allow sufficient time to select and develop a single strong full proposal from Nevada, letters of intent and pre-proposals are being solicited in advance of the Federal NOFO release. 

The National NASA EPSCoR Program has announced a solicitation for projects seeking an “International Space Station (ISS) Flight Opportunity” program. This solicitation is for projects that are mature enough to transition to a flight experiment with little or no additional NASA funding during the 3-year period of performance of the award.

The programmatic focus is to further engage and utilize Nevada’s unique resources and talent for enhancing scientific discovery and/or developing new technologies to address NASA’s research priorities. The request for seed grant funds may be based on outcomes from prior workshops/meetings with NASA Personnel; however, a seed grant award should not augment existing funded research projects. Research Infrastructure Development (RID) activities should target unique activities that increase Nevada’s competitiveness.

This solicitation is for current or previously funded EPSCoR projects or other research projects that are mature enough to design a research experiment or develop research experimental hardware to the point that it can be flown in a suborbital environment.
