Immediately following the Annual Nevada NSF EPSCoR Climate Change Meeting

This workshop will introduce users to the tools and data available through the Nevada Climate Change Portal being developed as part of the Nevada NSF EPSCoR Climate Change program (http://www.sensor.nevada.edu/NCCP/).

What:
Developers of the program will provide a 20-minute overview and introduction to the interface, available tools, and future directions of the Portal. The remainder of the workshop will be time for users to explore the Portal, ask questions about functionality and content, make suggestions to developers, and provide input on elements, data or functions that they would like to see included. This is an opportunity for potential users to both become familiar with the Portal, but also to provide input that will help develop functionality for a broad audience interested in climate change in Nevada. Facilitators/scribes will be on hand to capture all ideas for future reference by the developers. We will also develop a list of users who would like to join the ‘development  team’ by field-testing the site as new elements are added.

Who will benefit?
Anyone interested in being part of the effort to make relevant climate change information easily available to Nevada researchers, stakeholders, and the public. We encourage students, educators, land use managers, city planners, researchers, administrators, and anyone else interested to attend.
