The conference, "Science: Becoming the Messenger, Communicating Science to a Non-Technical Audience" will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 22-23, 2011. It is a series of interactive workshops to assist researchers to effectively communicate scientific advances to the public. This conference is presented by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and will focus on why science communication is important to researchers and educators. The workshop will feature three presenters: Emmy award-winning television producer Joe Schreiber; former PBS executive Dan Agan; and best-selling science author Chris Mooney.
