Graduate Assistantships

Graduate students at all NSHE institutions are eligible for GRAs.  We encourage that mentors recruit students from outside NSHE.  A student may not be concurrently funded as an NSF EPSCoR GRA and/or Fellowship awardee.
Applications for GRAs are submitted by the Component Group and awarded to NSHE faculty. The Component Steering Committee is encouraged to consider as mentors to GRAs additional NSHE faculty who would contribute significantly to the Component Goals. At the time of hiring, approved GRAs must be full-time students enrolled in a NSHE institution and maintain good academic standing in their institution.

We encourage women and members of underrepresented groups to be involved in this NSF EPSCoR Project. NSF defines underrepresented groups as Native Americans, African Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Hispanics.
