Cyberinfrastructure Funding Opportunity for Students Application deadline: January 15, 2012
NSF EPSCoR is seeking students from eligible universities to participate in a year-long program designed to engage and prepare undergraduate and graduate students in learning about and using cyberinfrastructure.
EPSCoR eligible institutions include universities from: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, U.S. Virgin Islands, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Areas covered include:
– High performance computing
– High throughput computing: parallel programming, campus wide-grids, national grids, virtual organizations, data, visualization, networking and cloud services
Participants will receive full financial support for travel to the program. Successful completion of the program will qualify participants to attend SC12 with all expenses paid.
We ask your assistance in identifying students who would be interested in this opportunity. There is no limit to the number of applicants from each institution. A total of 86 participants will be selected.
