Cyber Connectivity Within the Nevada System of Higher Education Research supports the enhancement of cyber connectivity among educational institutions across the state.
The goal of the Cyber Connectivity project is to improve connectivity within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) to achieve higher network speeds and capacity to advance education and research. Nevada research institutions will acquire advanced connectivity to the Internet, high performance research networks and training to meet internal connectivity and collaboration needs. Two objectives are proposed to enhance connectivity within Nevada and train the workforce:
- Improve research, collaboration and education by making connectivity upgrades that will attain high network speeds to Nevada’s current system
- Engage and train the workforce on how to utilize higher network speeds and new technology by utilizing existing training infrastructures
